"Let's make the world greener together" was the slogan of the two combined exhibitions. More than 250 companies introduced new products and services to the target audience coming from all European countries, USA, Asia, Australia, Russia and South America. The organisers and exhibitors were more than satisfied with the number of visitors. According to them it paid off to bring the events together and offer one ticket for both exhibitions.
Besides the general developments a well-respected competition regarding the best product takes place every year. The breeding results in the 'hardy-nursery-product-world" are usually less known, compared to the bedding plant market. The "Novelty of the Year 2018" is the Buddleja davidii 'SMNBDBT (Rocketstar Indigo. The jury decided for 'Rocketstar Indigo' due to the compact plant habit, the deep violett blooms in combination with the dark green leaves.
Besides the "Novelty of the Year" the following four plants received Gold Medals:
• Carex morrowii 'Everglow' (EVERCOLOR)
• Echinacea 'IFECSSSAL' (SUNSSEEKERS SALMON)
• Hydrangea arborescens 'NCHA8' (BELLARAGAZZA LIMETTA)
• Hydrangea macrophylla 'ROCO131801' (ROCO BLACK KNIGHT)
